Five Farms: Stories from American Farm Families
Most Americans used to be farmers. Now only about one person out of 100 works the land, yet family farmers still produce most of the country's agricultural harvest. This five-part series follows the lives and work of five of those farming families one each in New England, the South, the Midwest, the Southwest, and the West Coast for a yearlong cycle of the seasons. The result is an intimate portrait of the people who produce our food that will change the way you see the food on your table.

Succession
These questions loom large for each farming family: Who will take over the farm? Who will continue to farm, who won't, and why? As the next generation comes of age, some go away to college or to explore work off the farm, but return with new ideas and new energy. Others leave farming for good.
