Join Brian O'Donovan, host of WGBH 89.7's A Celtic Sojourn, Irish singer/songwriter Robbie O'Connell, and a convivial group of Celtic music-lovers for this insiders' tour of Ireland, our fourth annual Irish sojourn. We'll take in the southwest of Ireland, from the Rock of Cashel to Ballycotton and the fishing port of Kinsale; from O'Donovan's hometown of Clonakilty to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. As always, we end each day with private music sessions showcasing some of Ireland's best traditional musicians.
Highlights of the trip:

- Discussions of traditional Irish music and its players, and demonstrations of traditional Irish instruments
- Nightly traditional Irish musical performances, or "sessions"
- Visits to stunning archeological wonders including Caher Castle, the Drumbeg stone circle, and O'Brien's Tower on the Cliffs of Moher

- Visits to key locations in Irish history, including the birthplace of Irish patriot Michael Collins and the Rock of Cashel, one-time seat of the High King of Ireland, Brian Boru
- A tour of Brian O'Donovan's hometown, Clonakilty, led by Brian himself
- A visit to the Jameson Distillery to learn how Irish whiskey is made (and sample the results)
